Justice is served

You just love to read those stories about young kids who are put in danger and manage to get the bad guy despite their age. I am of course referring to the harrowing story of Birmingham boy Lewis Richardson.

It appears that Lewis had asked his father for a drink. Not an unjust request by any means. However his father’s judgement was that Lewis’ one true wish would not come to pass until he… I can hardly bring myself to say it… Clean his room!

What a bastard!

So Lewis did what any normal boy his age would do. If you were expecting to the read the words “he cleaned his room” next you were wrong. As it happened these are the words you read next, but work with me here! If you expected to read the words “he called the police” next, then give yourself a big imaginary and in no way legally binding Birmingham Metroblogging cheque for “ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!”

Yes it is true in the face of such adversity young Lewis used his brain to overcome unfathomable odds. What a trooper. The police did actually turn up too, unfortunately no arrests were made, which means his father is still at large.

Maybe next time Lewis should use just a bit more of that astounding brain he has and forgo calling the police in favour of Batman, who would have obviously dealt with this situation much more effectively and brought his father, Richard Richardson (yes that is his name!) to justice.

Hmmm but what kind of drink? All throughout the story I was thinking the kid was demanding a glass of whiskey or something, until I realised that at no point was alcohol mentioned. lol.
