Hearts First

Brindleyplace Hearts First Relay 2006

In 2005 it was known as “Race For Life” (i think). This year, the British Heart Foundation’s race around Brindleyplace will be entitled “Hearts First”. Anyone can enter a team (of 4 people) to compete in the relay, which will probably be about a 500 meter circuit around the offices of Brindleyplace. Entry costs £40 per team, which is a bit pricey but it’s all for a good cause.

If you fancy a giggle, check out our efforts in the 2005 competition. We finished first in our heat, and fairly close to best overall! (2nd, if memory serves). We decided not to slow ourselves down with any fancy dress, but maybe we’ll take a more light-hearted approach this year.

Come on down to Brindleyplace on April 12th at about 5:30pm and support us!

Hearts First is something different Race for Life raises money for Cancer Research UK and is primarily (although not, I believe, exclusively) aimed at female participants. Birmingham race is sometime in June.

Whoops! Yeah, my mistake. Very stupid of me, considering my missus is even taking part in the Race For Life, in July.
